This year our relaxing holiday week is presented with a Dorset Theme.

We will need you to be prepared to sing, dance to keep the momentum going for four days and retain your sense of humour too! (It’s a holiday - remember!)

Monday: we shall be running a welcoming ceilidh in the evening, so bring your party pieces to perform in the informal bits.

Tuesday: Musicians Workshop in the morning with Pete & Mac in the Long Room, OR Bonny’s Talk on William Barnes & Thomas Hardy. He compares the lives, beliefs and poems of these two great Dorset Men in the Lounge.

Yetties Concert in the evening – “In Praise of Dorset (open to the public)

Wednesday: Free day with a Singaround in the bar in the evening.

Thursday: Musicians Workshop in the morning with Pete & Mac: OR bring your favourite poem (or two or more) and read them in the lounge with Bonny.

Yetties Concert in the evening.(open to the public)

Friday: Talk by Colin Thompson on fiddles and other instruments he has played, owned and repaired.

Final Ceilidh in the afternoon.

WALKING

In the afternoons, you can do your own thing, or there are a range of walks ideas on offer, depending on demand.

Both Cynthia & Bonny will be happy to lead if guests wish to enjoy and take part in this and if the weather is kind

The Yetties take their name from the village of Yetminster in north-west Dorset and were around long before Dr. Who discovered any such beastie. One of the countries they have toured is Nepal where Yetties are very welcome!

The band first became involved in Folk Music back in the 60’s. They used to run a Song club in Yeovil where, among their guests, they booked Paul Simon. His fee was £7 but they paid him a £3 bonus because he was good.

WORLDWIDE ambassadors for Dorset with nearly 50 albums of song, countless tours and hundreds of Radio and Television performances, both here and abroad, behind them the Yetties have been professional for 40 years.
