The two major ways of fund raising are through
The Shop at Halsway and the 200 Club. There are also other initiatives which are announced periodically.
One of which was the “SUPPORT HALSWAY RAFFLE” run from June to December 2007.
It was drawn at the CRAFT FAIR on SUNDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2007
22 Prizes were available to win.

Look out for future exciting fund raising efforts.
THE SHOP
Many visitors to the manor are pleased to take away a momento or souvenir of their visit to Halsway Manor.
We have several items carrying a lovely picture of the manor.
These are produced in wipe-clean melamine and include chopping boards, coasters, table mats, trays & notebooks.
Other souvenir ranges include postcards and a history of the manor , polo shirts, other clothing and tea towels.
In fact, we carry over eighty different lines some of which are CDs .specifically relevant to the manor
Annually Halsway Calendars with scenes specifically relevant to the Manor are readily available from the early summer
We are happy to send items to you by parcel post although some of the fragile glass items do not travel well.

The Friends have a rota of volunteers who help to run the Shop. New volunteers to assist are welcome to join the rota. Email the shop for more details.
The sums of money raised, together with other donations, enable extra and additional comforts to be purchased for the manor.
THE 200 CLUB.
This was set up and is run by members of the Guildford Folk Dance Club and is fully explained, with the ability to join, on their website.
The Friends are organising an Auction of Promises to raise funds for the Manor and invite you to join in the fun. You could offer a Promise or bid for one at the Auction or perhaps do both. The Auction starts on 1 July and you need to offer your Promise by 30 June
How do I make a Promise ?
From 1 March You can register your Promise on the Halsway Manor website by clicking on the link below
The bidding web site will open on 1st July. You can bid for your chosen Promise on the web site, or by letter, telephonel.
Telephone bids will close at midnight on 2 October, postal bids must be received by 1 October and on-line bids can keep on coming until noon on Sunday 5 October.
You can keep track of bids on the web site
What happens if my bid is successful ?
Successful bidders will be announced at the Halsway Members Weekend on Sunday 5 October. They will be put in touch with those making the Promises to arrange for delivery.
Bidders will be asked to pay their fee direct to the Friends of Halsway Manor when the promise has been completed. Those making Promises are not expected to deal with money.
The final list of Promises and winning bidders will be published on the Friends section of the Halsway Manor website and featured in the Halsway Post.
Help ! I can’t think what to promise ?
If you can't think of what to promise or you’d like guidance, please contact Chris Turner 020 8889 0634.
If you know someone who might like to be asked for a Promise, please pass this message on to them.
Meanwhile, Please tell all your friends at your club all about the Auction of Promises so that they are ready to bid over the summer. If you have any questions at all, please contact Chris as above.
We very much hope that you will become a Bidder or a Promiser.
Membership of the Friends of Halsway Manor is open to all those who are interested and supportive of the Friends objectives.
You, or your Club, may become a member of the Friends of Halsway Manor by completing the application form and sending a subscription of £5.00 per annum, (although larger donations would be gratefully received) to the Treasurer:
In 2006 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Manor the Friends installed a Maypole which is now being used regularly by visitors to the Manor. This is giving much enjoyment to those using it. A smaller indoor version is also available if required and requested.

To further celebrate the 40th anniversary a Wassail Tree was planted to the customary celebrations and we hope to perform the annual traditional blessings.
