Updates to William Winter's Quantocks Tune Book
In July 2007 the Society published William Winter's Quantocks Tune Book. A book and CD of tunes from the Winter manuscript which includes biographical information on William Winter and notes on the tunes by Geoff Woolfe. The CD includes 13 tracks from the Book played by Robert Harbron, Nancy Kerr, Miranda Rutter and Tim Van Eyken click on William Winter's Quantocks Tune Book in the menu to the left for details of the book

Tune number 123, Marionet's Cotillion, is similar to Captain Lanoe's Quick March in The Sussex Tune Book ( EFDSS 1982). ( from the Aylmore ms West Wittering) 28 September 2007 Page 92 of the book
Tune number 243, Bury’s Quadrille no 2 key is D and not as shown 9 September 2007 Page 25 of the book
Tune number 37, Hallow Fain key is D and not as shown 9 September 2007 page 135 (Index) of the Book;
tune number 360 Merry Andrew in 4/4 time has been omitted from the index and is on page 126 6 September 2007 page 76 of the book;
Tune number 199 Hornpipe in G (from page 8 of the short section). This is the same, with variants, as Miss Menager's Hornpipe, found in
(EFDSS 2007) 23 August 2007 page 80 of the book
