Dorset Legends invade Somerset

“ We haven’t laughed as much in 30 years”  …a Yetties Somerset fan

“We bought our neighbours along and they couldn’t stop laughing through two whole songs” …another Somerset fan

Dorset legends The Yetties take up residence at Halsway Manor in July and bring their unmissable blend of infectious humour, dancing and singing to Somerset audiences at two concerts on 22nd and 24th July.  The concerts are part of an extra summer week The Yetties are offering folk enthusiasts at Halsway as their February shows have sold out instantly year after year.

“The Yetties enormous popularity is due to their combination of easy humour,  great playing and a huge knowledge of Dorset writers, customs and beliefs” said Halsway’s Sarah Knight. “It really is a complete entertainment package suitable for all the family and not to be missed!”

Tuesday’s concert is titled ‘In Praise of Dorset’ and will include songs sung by Thomas Hardy’s family as well as poems by Hardy and William Barnes. Thursday’s concert features wider rural folklore and legends.  Both concerts start at 8pm and tickets priced £9.00 are on sale from the Halsway Manor office Tel 01984 618274
