to advance the education of the public by preserving for the benefit of the public the heritage of English folk music, dances , songs, folk traditions and folklore and other folk music, dance, song, folk traditions and folklore (including singing games, literature, painting, street theatre, storytelling, choirs and orchestras), and the promotion of traditional crafts and craftsmanship, to make them known and to encourage the practice of them in their traditional forms and to use and maintain Halsway Manor as a hub for these activities;
